On Vacation

Before getting out of school, I desperately looked toward vacation for a break, relaxation, and no thinking. Unfortunately, vacation has gone overboard and feels never-ending. I was hoping to resume classes this coming Monday, but apparently classes won't start for another three weeks! As if a month was not enough. Well, I supposed that the only wise thing left for me to do is enjoy the remaining time home, washing dishes and doing laundry.

Okay guys, since I won't have much to do for the following weeks; does anybody know of a blog with cookie recipes? or one on cookie making 101? See I've always wanted to learn how to bake cookies from scratch, but the recipes I find on the Internet involve prepared dough or from a box. Any way, some help please.

New Year

With a new year ahead, I begin to wonder of what will come. My mind begins to draw conclusions, goals, and mottoes. I wonder if all that is simply a waste of though. Looking back, I do not recall ever sticking by my new year resolutions. Some how they all became skewed and even flexible. Perhaps what I'm really wanting to bring out or even find, is a resolution that would actually resolve. Simply stating that this year I want to tone my body up, or learn a new language, etc, are cliches of the past years. Such resolutions are indeed plausible, but a bit shallow. What if instead I considered memorizing a verse from the Bible every day? Uff, that would be 365 verses I did not know before. Maybe I should consider being helpful, search justice and truth, and fight to find those small things that make life worth while. This year, I want to embrace each coming day as if it were my last. I want to enjoy the long chats with my family while having diner, the warmth of my dog as he lies by my side, the sweet kisses of my boyfriend, and the presence of those who make my life live. But above all, I want this year to be guided by the hand of the Most High. I deposit what I am in the careful hands of God. I declare this year victorious, filled with blessings, love, and grace. I look forward to you 2012, I do not know what tomorrow will bring, but I will live one day at a time as if it were my last, and each evening I will look  forward to the next day. I will embrace it as a gift, a daily present.
